    Built on the previously orchid garden, Taman Anggrek Mall (Orchid Garden Mall, in English) is a huge shopping mall in West Jakarta. Upon its opening, this shopping mall became the biggest one in Southeast Asia. Towering in Grogol, Petamburan, this shopping center is where you can have a fancy shopping and dining experience.

    Another lively market in Central Jakarta besides Tanah Abang is Pasar Baru, nestled in the namesake administrative village. The southern gate is one of the most visible distinctive features of this traditional market. This gate resembles the architecture of typical Chinese fortress gate. You can find almost everything in this traditional market; be it fashion items, cosmetics, electronic goods, or food. Among them is Lee Ie Seng, which is the oldest shop in this shopping district. Established in 1873, this shop still maintains its original look until today.
